The Black Sheep

Hello from the rainy Brighton. To those who are reading this or (highly possible) to no one. This is a quite unique post. First, I've been writing to this blog after a very long time (I think its almost a year)-a very unstable, confusing and frustrating time. Since my last article here, many things got different. First I changed job (even though you don't even know what I'm doing for living) and managed to see The Cure live TWICE. Also, I study a little bit more, I'm thinking to move to another city and I want to find proper ways to transform this blog into a proper, cosy and modern music site. Apart from these, things are pretty much the same. More artists and records to discover (that's a little bit dramatic) and here is our great comeback into the music waves (which we hope it will last a bit longer) :

Alexandra Savior Who is: 24-year old indie-folk girl from Portland, Oregon, following her hometown lineage of great music

Genre: chamber pop | a warm summer afternoon on the beach

Info: She started to be interested in music at the age of 14. Her voice is a combination of Hope Sandoval and Lana del Rey -sweet, nostalgic and cosy. She loves art and her own paintings have been used for the covers of some of her releases. She collaborated with Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys on her debut album. Etta James and Amy Winehouse are some of her influences.

"[...] the most important thing about the music industry I've learnt is that it's total bullshit, and that the thing you should focus on the most is just the art."

"Savior carries herself with a vivid coolness throughout the collection, each track aiming to reflect a certain emotion. " [NME]

Listen to: "You", "Can't Help Myself,"Howl" Facebook, Instagram, Spotify

Kyle Forester Who is: Ex-member of psychedelic band Crystal Stilts/ the indie-heros The Ladybug TransistorGenre: Indie pop| Nostalgia | Soundtrack for the sunny Sunday morning Info: Forester has released 3 solo albums. His latest work released a month ago with the title "Hearts in Garden". Also he has composed soundtracks for many films. As a multi-instrumentalist, he plays keyboards and saxophone among others. He is an active member on Twitter and Instagram. The Ladybug Transistor still remain one of the greatest bands in the indie pop universe.

"For me and what I’m into, I’m definitely more on the pop side of things" [Paste] "This set marries thoughtful, introspective songwriting with a glowing '70s-inspired tone that speaks of a power pop head and a soft rock heart" [Allmusic]

Listen to: "Know What You are Doing", "Lily", "Another Day"
